The EAC Men’s Volleyball Team is on their 3-game winning streak after shutting down the Mapua Cardinals in straight sets, 25-16, 25-22, 25-20.
Despite the Cardinals maintaining a close margin early on in the match, the Generals quickly found their rhythm and went on a 9-2 run to close out the first set. The EAC keeps their surge hot as they continue to assert dominance against the Intramuros squad and seal their sixth win.
Following their one-day preparation for this match, the Generals did nothing but stick to the steady system and showcase their well-synced chemistry. “Hindi tayo mahihirapan manalo kung lahat tayo pupunan natin yung role natin tsaka kung makikining tayo sa isa’t isa,” Michael Gela said post game.
Michael Gela led the Red-and-White to triumph with an impressive frontline defense of 6 blocks and 8 attacks. Alongside Frelwin Taculog and Jan Ruther Abor’s 13-point contribution.
Heading into their ninth game against the Benilde Blazers this Friday, the Generals will continue to maximize their fine-tuned system. “Hindi namin babaguhin yung ginagawa namin… araw araw na ensayo, hindi namin titigilan,” Gela added.
