MAPÚA UNIVERSITY
Mapúa University (MU), joined the NCAA in 1930, having a rich sports legacy in the league. The Cardinals won basketball titles in the 1940s and 1990s, while the juniors’ Red Robins dominated in the 1960s–70s. MU is also a powerhouse in track and field. In recent years, the Cardinals returned to contention, reaching the NCAA Finals in recent occassions, reaffirming Mapúa as one of the league’s cornerstone schools.
